FISHING FORECAST:

Great fishing is just around the corner as Lake Livingston settles out after record   high levels.  Conditions are shaping up for the annual White Bass run. Creeks are settling out and Crappie are staging for the spawn. Look for Black Bass to move shallow on the nest as water Temperatures rise

Lake Livingston consist of over 90.000 acres of water and 450 miles of shore line. 

 SPECIES REPORT: 

Black Bass {largemouth} Fish black and blue lizards around the log jams now. Throw white spinner baits around shallow wood and rocky points.  Some good fish still being caught on Charlie’s jigs fished around docks in Newton, upper Carolina and Bethy creeks.

Catfish.    Good fishing for big Blue Cats on drifted shad mid lake and lower lake regions.  Good catfishing on rod and reel baited with fresh shad.  Fishing for Blue Cats on jugs has been good in in the bays when the wind is blowing.

Harmon creek is producing Blue Cats early morning fishing under the bird roost. 

 Crappie.  fishing should improve as the creeks clear out. Look for Crappie staging in the deep holes in major creeks. Fish minnows and jigs near the bottom on a slip cork..

White Bass.  Whites will be moving up the river and creeks for the spawning run.  Pay close attention now to current weather patterns and water levels. If the main river channel near Riverside is low and green the Whites will spawn in the River. If the water is up and the creeks are moving look for Whites far up the creeks.  Throw ¼ oz. Tsunami Cocktail spinners and ¼ oz. Sassy Shad.

Duck Hunting,    Look for Mallards now in the Jungle and Robbs Lake.  Throw a smaller spread of decoys.
