CURRENT CONDITIONS: UPPER RIVER OFF COLOR / MID LAKE OFF COLOR / LOWER LAKE CLEARING

NOTES; 2” rain Friday muddied up northern creeks, north wind and rising barometric pressure slowed down the bite.  Conditions should rebound quickly.

BLACK BASS: fair on the north end fishing clear pockets with soft plastic Tx. Rigged black lizards and June bug baby brush hog.  Blacks seem to be in a post spawn slow down.  Several good fish caught recently on 3/8 oz. chartreuse tandem spinner baits.

WHITE BASS; slow with the upper river and most major creeks muddied up from recent rain and run off. Some good catches of Whites still coming out of upper creeks including Harmon, White Rock and West fork of Carolina creeks.  White twister tail grubs and Tsunami ¼ oz. spinners.

CRAPPIE; excellent Crappie in the northern creeks this past week before the rain hit.  Fish mostly around 4’ near wood taking live shiners and jigs.

CATFISH; The Blue cat bite in the river near Riverside has slowed down the recent pace with the water level dropping.  Baited holes in Harmon producing fair along with jug lines in Harmon and Carolina creeks.  Good numbers of Blue cats starting to come in off the mid and lower lake bulk heads as the water warms and the shad are starting to run.

Good luck fishing.
